This autumn, ODEON Cinemas at Great Northern launches Pride Nights, a new monthly film night dedicated to LGBTQI+ stories, voices, and audiences. Designed as a vibrant, inclusive celebration of love, identity and queer storytelling through cinema, Pride Nights brings together a carefully curated selection of films that shine a light on the richness and diversity of LGBTQI+ lives, past and present.
Whether you’re looking to reconnect with a cult classic or discover a powerful new release, Pride Nights is your invitation to experience queer cinema on the big screen, surrounded by community. Taking place on the first Friday of each month, the programme showcases one standout LGBTQI+ title at each event, offering a space where film lovers, allies and the queer community alike can gather, reflect, and be inspired by the magic of movies!
The next Pride Night takes place on Friday 3 November with Born For You, the remarkable true story of a single gay man who defied legal and cultural barriers to become a father to a child with Down’s syndrome in Italy, in a deeply human tale of chosen family, resilience and quiet revolution.
The season continues through the winter, with Out screening on 1 December, capturing the energy and intensity of two young men chasing dreams and love in Amsterdam’s vibrant queer scene. Then, on 5 January, The Bearded Mermaid brings a glittering close to the season’s first chapter, following a fisherman’s unexpected journey into the world of drag, performance and self-discovery.
Pride Nights is created in partnership with FOMO and OUTtv, and offers the chance to discover a new favourite or relive a modern classic in a welcoming, celebratory space.
