GREAT NORTHERN’S COMMUNITY KITCHEN WELCOMES ARMR STORE FOR FINAL FORTNIGHT
We are partnering with ARMR Store for the final two weekends of Community Kitchen on the Square takeovers, providing Mancunian foodies with one last opportunity to support local independent via our unique city centre set-up.
ARMR Store will be serving up a menu of Caribbean-inspired, plant-based goodness from the Great Northern Square this weekend and next, opening Friday 16th and Friday 23rd October, 4pm-9pm and Saturday 17th and Saturday 24th October, 1pm-9pm.
Each dish from the store, which is usually based in Ardwick, is meat free and includes organic ingredients that are packed with flavour. Options include pizzas topped with jackfruit and caramelized plantin, oyster mushroom wings coated in a jerk BBQ sauce and an ackee medley featuring mac ‘no’ cheese.
No need to book, simply pop down and enjoy drinks and food outdoors either solo or with the rest of your household or social bubble. The kitchen is under shelter but it’s advised to wrap up warm to make sure your visit is truly cosy.
The pop-up restaurant on the square has provided a Covid-secure space for local businesses that are restricted with limited outdoor dining space throughout the summer and autumn, with weekly takeovers allowing these restaurants to serve up their delicious cuisine right in the heart of Manchester.
ARMR Store previously popped up at the site as part of Eat Well’s takeover, and the Great Northern is delighted to welcome them again. Other takeovers throughout the summer have included Evuna, Platzki’s, Salvi’s, Siam Smiles and Tampopo.
