Returning as part of the unmissable Manchester Jazz Festival 2023, the piano trail features 13 fully playable pianos for any passer-by to enjoy – one of which will be at Great Northern.
Developed in collaboration with Forsyth’s and Yamaha to encourage Mancs to come together in celebration of music’s unique joy, the festival is running a competition to find the city’s best street pianist, with a digital Yamaha piano up for grabs.
Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham said: “This city-region has music running through its veins, and helping connect people to new musical experiences and supporting talented musicians has always been so important to us. The mjf2023 piano trail will take music back out onto the streets of Manchester, giving more people the chance to try their hand at playing and to encounter the vibrant music of our city in a really unique way.”
