With the brief Mancunian summer fading into cloudy skies and sporadic heatwaves giving way to plummeting mercury, we think it’s the perfect time to announce the return of Great Northern’s wildly popular festive après-ski joint, Bar Hütte.
Inspired by the cosy log-lined party dens nestled at the feet of Europe’s best resorts, Bar Hütte brings ‘a slice of alpine heaven’ and unrivalled festive spirit to Manchester City Centre from 8th November.
Whether it’s a snug, fairylit date night or a fun-filled Christmas night out, Bar Hutte offers everything from live music, flowing drinks, oven-baked pizza and private pods to karaoke sessions, family-friendly Santa meetings and even huttes for dogs.
From noon ‘til night, guests can lose themselves in festive wonder and enjoy the season as intended with Manchester’s rustic winter holiday haunt.

Cosy Karaoke Hüttes
Round up your friends and duck into one of the karaoke hüttes, where you can enjoy rustic winter vibes and Christmas karaoke for 1 hour 40 mins. Price: £60 (up to 8)
Party Lodge
Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, hosting a reunion or looking to stage Manchester’s most festive office bash, the party lodges offer full-scale entertainment for groups of 10-20 people throughout the season, with ample dancing space and a dedicated soundsystem blasting the classics for 1 hour 50 minutes. They’ll even throw in a complimentary magnum of Prosecco to get the party started. Price: £190
Santa Claus Club
Featuring free hot chocolate, complimentary kids’ colouring pads and an hour of karaoke fun, Bar Hütte’s Santa Claus Club promises festive magic for the whole family throughout December. There’ll even be a chance to get a pic with the man himself before he sets off for deliveries.
Available bookings run every half hour from 10am-12pm on 3rd, 10th, 17th, 22nd, 23rd and 24th December. Price £25 (2-6)
Wreath-Making Après Ski Style
Join us for a delightfully wintry workshop with friends, family, first dates and loved ones and create your very own Christmas wreath by hand. All you need to do is book – Bar Hütte provides all the equipment for you to craft your masterpiece (as well as a glass of fizz or mulled wine to start your evening).
Classes are £45 per person, and will be running on: Sunday26 th November at 2pm,
Wednesday 29th November at 7pm and Tuesday 5th December at 7pm
Bark Hütte
Filled with free dog treats and photo props, the pup-sized hütte invites the dogs of Manchester to drop in for a festive snap and a handful of treats, as well as a choice of bowl-friendly drinks from the ‘doggy drinks menu’.
