At the Great Northern we want to make an oasis in our city. Our vision is for a wonderfully green public realm. We want to grow an abundance of edible and beautiful plants and a strong sense of community. We want our space to contribute to improving the quality of people’s lives who work and live in the city centre. We want to bring seasonality and the natural world into the heart of Manchester. So, we’ve employed our very own gardener! Meet Marie-Claire! Right now, she’s developing a planting plan, improving the soil quality across the site and planting 1000’s of bulbs for the Spring!
