We came through the pandemic knowing that what people want from their cities, homes and workspaces had moved on. Research showed that people thriving communities, great green spaces, measures to address climate change and high-quality homes and workplaces. It was time to put our thinking caps on – and check we had got the right vision for the future of the Great Northern and the front Square.
In the meantime, we cracked on with giving people chances to come together again! Our Book Nook and Little Northern free play hub were launched, and we started greening up the site in earnest with the appointment of our new head gardener Marie-Claire.
